Founded in 2004, SPM Design offers extensive experience in commercial and residential architectural projects. Our specialties include: office buildings, medical offices, and single and multi-family residential projects. Additionally, we have been involved in several mill conversion projects in the local area. In 2006, we teamed with rui duarte Design and, combined, have over 30 years of experience in the architectural field.
SPM Design remains small in size, but delivers high quality, efficient design and documentation through the use of current design technology. HIghly efficient at computer modeling and rendering, we can quickly illustrate design intent, allow you to clearly visualize the complete design early in the design stages, make changes, and reach final design approval, before proceeding with construction details and documents. We believe our process and limited overhead allow us to offer our clients substantial savings on architectural design fees. SPM Design offers its clients the one-on-one, personal attention strived for, but often unobtainable, from larger design firms. A firm principle will be involved from day one, throughout the design process, to completion.
We are LEED certified and registered in RI and MA, with licensure available in other jurisdictions as needed.
Steve Medeiros, AIA, reg. arch, is a 1993 graduate of Roger Williams University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Steve’s background consists of over 16 years experience with many varied types of commercial and residential design. His specialties include restaurant, office, and residential design. Since the founding of SPM Design in 2004, he has worked on over 80 large and small scale residential projects throughout RI, MA, and surrounding areas, ranging in scope from small additions to 7000 sqft residences, as well as several ground-up office and adaptive re-use projects. Steve is currently a registered architect in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
